Ramón joined IGAN in 2020 as the lead of the geotechnical section. He completes geotechnical data review/audits, ground support calculations, geotechnical domain modelling and geotechnical design criteria specifications. He is also qualified to sign off geotechnical chapters in Technical Reports disclosed under international reporting codes. Ramón is based in Oviedo at the head office of IGAN.

Prior to joining IGAN, he has worked at Orovalle Minerals (Geotechnical Department Manager, Project Manager), Isolux Corsan (Geotechnical and Quality Manager), Getinsa Ingeniería (Tunnel Geologist) and Río Narcea Gold Mines (UG Mine Geologist, Grade Control Geologist, Shift Boss).

With over 21 years of experience, Ramón has a solid background and experience in mining operations, geotechnical engineering including backfill engineering, management, development of both geotechnical standard operating procedures and quality control programs.
